Our Ecosystem

Since launching in December 2023, Neurotech Futures has quickly grown into the world’s leading source for dedicated commercial news & market insights.

With thousands of highly engaged readers, a global ecosystem is forming.

In any given week, I hear from students or young professionals looking for jobs, patients and families seeking treatment options, leaders in search of talent, businesses in need of professional support and partnership, and of course, investors and founders who are trying to meet each other.

To help as many people as possible, I’m committed to investing in the success of this ecosystem to improve operational stability, fortify our network of aligned leaders, and co-create value in new ways, online and in the real world.

Here is how our ecosystem is taking shape.

Members

Neurotech Futures is supported in part by our paying members.

Beyond funding my caffeine habit, members help inform the research agenda and coverage strategy across tech, markets, and topics. Through private market intelligence (Neurotech Insider), exclusive access to chat, archived posts, and offline opportunities, membership is a lever for real-world impact.

Through membership I’ve helped people secure capital, get into fellowship programs, hone fundraising decks, understand their competition, develop talking points for panels, position products and brands, and much more.

I think that’s not bad for ~5 bucks a week? Try it out, or earn a free trial.

Partners

In 2025 I’m welcoming Partners to support our operation and help add value to our readers. By collaborating on curated and created resources and connections, my hope is for these partnerships to change people’s careers, and contribute directly to the rising tide of commercial success worldwide.

At this time, partnerships are invite-only. For details, please e-mail me.

These hand-picked organizations share my vision of a thriving, responsible business ecosystem dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people around the world. It’s privilege to list them here (in alphabetical order)

A special thanks to a2 Collective, Foresight Institute, and other supporters for paid collaborations in 2024. Without that support, I would almost certainly have had to abandon this newsletter in order to (reluctantly) get a real job 💀

Allies

In getting Neurotech Futures off the ground, I have benefited tremendously from the support of a long list of individuals. Their subject matter expertise, editorial insight, candid feedback, warm introductions, and various other input, encouragement, or support has been instrumental to any success over the last year. In particular:

Jennifer French, Ian Burkhart, Nathan Copeland, Sharena Rice, Amy Kruse, Tom Oxley, David Maltz, Justin Sanchez, Diana Saville, Jordi Parramon, Phyllis Ferrell, JoJo Platt, Harikesh Pushpanathan, James Cavuoto, Frank Stegert, Ben Stecher, Kevin Krejci, Manfred Franke, David Fox, Zach Lomis, Michael Mager, and many others have been subject to my anxious questions and half-baked ideas. Their kindness, patience, smarts, and encouragement are why this site has endured.

(obviously: any mistakes in accuracy or judgment are mine alone!)

Jen Jung, Michael Nolan, Bonfire Analytics, Geetanjali Bendale, Brock Pluimer, Stuti Chakraborty, Stephanie Martin, and many others have been wonderful early collaborators on content, research, marketing, data, design, and much more.

What’s Next?

We’re only in year two. But as someone who writes about the future in order to bring it to life, here’s a speculative hypothesis:

What if the ideas, resources, and connections coming from this ecosystem directly lead to the founding of the next billion dollar neurotech company?

Big Value. Long timeline. Small steps. Many hands. Let’s go.
